You will not be asleep or unconscious. Your will is not weakened in any way. You cannot be made to do anything against your spiritual beliefs or morals. You won’t tell your deepest, darkest secrets. Hypnosis is not sleep.
One common misconception is that a person in hypnosis loses their will and is partially or completely under the control of the hypnotist. Nothing could be further from the truth. The hypnotist just facilitates the process.
Hypnosis, particularly the deeper forms, can appear to be like sleep because your deeply relaxed physically. But, there is usually a great deal of mental activity, and measurements of brain activity during hypnosis show a significant level of neurological activity.

Many people find it difficult to quiet the mind with meditation. In hypnosis you are able to quiet the mind and bring about positive change. Hypnosis is similar to a guided meditation but different. And a lot of people find it easier to meditate after doing a few hypnosis sessions with Tammy.
Hypnosis is neither anti-religious nor pro-religious. Today, most churches and religious groups accept the proper ethical use of hypnosis for helping people. Included are Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and most Protestant Christian Churches as well as Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and others. Hypnosis is not associated with any of the world religions. Tammy respects the faith and spiritual beliefs of her clients.
Hypnosis is completely safe.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind that we cycle in and out of while we’re awake. Being hypnotized is normal and natural for humans. You go thru the Theta brain state when going to sleep at night and when waking up in the morning.
You cannot get “stuck in hypnosis.” If you were to go into a deep trance and then the hypnotist simply walks away, you’d get bored and either emerge yourself from hypnosis or fall into normal sleep.
The use of hypnosis was approved by the American Medical Association in 1958 and it was recognized as a science by the American Psychological Association in 1960. The British Medical Association approved the use of hypnosis in 1955 and the Roman Catholic Church endorsed the use of hypnosis both in 1847 and again in 1956.
Everyone is different. Some issues require just one or two sessions while others may require three or four. Sessions are tailored around a client’s individual needs. Tammy is very good at making a recommendation about how many sessions you may need for a particular issue. And if you feel you need more you can always add more sessions.
Psychotherapists are trained to diagnose, test and treat individuals with mental disorders, whereas professional hypnotists are trained to work with functional individuals who want to change habits and behaviors and improve the quality of their lives and relationships. Hypnosis is about developing inner abilities and our incredible capacity to change.
Insurance companies do not accept hypnosis, as they view hypnosis as alternative treatment similar to acupuncture, massage or chiropractic. Clients pay out of pocket or use their Flexible Spending accounts to pay for hypnosis (i.e. Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss, etc.) The Stop Smoking Program may qualify as a Medical and Dental Expense under Schedule A of Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return (check with your tax consultant). Many clients purposely seek out private pay remedies such as hypnosis to avoid being labeled by a clinical diagnosis billed through their insurance company which may later be disclosed and affect their future insurability and career choices.
The price depends on what goal you are working to achieve. The consultation with Tammy is FREE and she tries to make it work within your budget. We take all credit cards, Paypal and cash. We also accept checks prior to your session.
